Antigravity CLI

Connect FeedNest to Antigravity CLI, Google's coding agent for the terminal, which replaced Gemini CLI for free, Google AI Pro and Ultra accounts.

Prerequisites

  • A FeedNest account

    Apps that connect with OAuth, like ChatGPT and Claude, work on every plan: read-only on Free, full access on Plus and Pro. API keys need Pro. View pricing

  • API key, for apps set up with a key

    Create one in Settings → Developer API or follow the API keys guide

In place of Gemini CLI for personal accounts

Since June 18, 2026, free, Google AI Pro and Ultra accounts use Antigravity CLI instead of Gemini CLI. With a Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise license, or a paid Gemini API key, Gemini CLI still works: see the Gemini CLI guide.

Option A: Sign in with your FeedNest account (every plan)

Antigravity can sign in to remote MCP servers on its own, but an open Antigravity bug can leave its requests without the token. This option uses the mcp-remote npm package as a bridge instead: it opens FeedNest's sign-in in your browser, keeps the token and passes Antigravity's requests on to FeedNest. No API key needed.

  1. 1

    Open the MCP configuration

    Open ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json for every project, or .agents/mcp_config.json for one project.

  2. 2

    Add the FeedNest server

    Paste the configuration below.

  3. 3

    Restart Antigravity CLI

    Exit and launch it again to start the server. Type /mcp to see whether FeedNest is connected.

  4. 4

    Sign in

    The first time, your browser opens FeedNest: log in and allow access. The consent screen names the app MCP CLI Proxy, which is the bridge, and says it registered automatically: that is expected.

Antigravity configuration (mcp-remote bridge)

mcp_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "feednest": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.feednest.com"]
    }
  }
}

Plan requirements

Every FeedNest plan can connect. On Free, the app can read your feeds and articles, up to 20 requests an hour. Plus and Pro also let it save, tag, highlight and mark articles as read.

Option B: API key

The workaround Google suggests for its sign-in bug: Antigravity sends your API key with every request. API keys need Pro.

  1. 1

    Add the FeedNest server

    Paste the configuration below in mcp_config.json. Replace fn_live_... with your API key.

  2. 2

    Restart Antigravity CLI

    Exit and launch it again to load the server.

Antigravity configuration (API key)

mcp_config.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "feednest": {
      "serverUrl": "https://mcp.feednest.com",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer fn_live_..."
      }
    }
  }
}

Uses "serverUrl", not "httpUrl"

Antigravity takes the address in "serverUrl" ("url" works too). The "httpUrl" field of Gemini CLI is not supported.

Verify your connection

After setup, try one of these prompts to confirm everything is working:

  • →“What are my unread articles?”
  • →“Summarize my latest saved articles”
  • →“How many feeds am I subscribed to?”

Troubleshooting

Unauthorized when Antigravity starts the server

With Option B, check that your API key is valid and that the header reads 'Bearer ' followed by the key. If FeedNest was added with only its address, Antigravity's own sign-in may have left out its token (an open bug, issue 25 of google-antigravity/antigravity-cli): use Option A or Option B.

The browser does not open (Option A)

Quit Antigravity CLI, then run 'npx -y mcp-remote https://mcp.feednest.com' once in a terminal: it opens the sign-in and keeps the token. Stop it with Ctrl+C and launch Antigravity CLI again. On a machine without a browser, use Option B.

'npx' command not found

Option A needs Node.js. Install it, then check that 'node --version' works in a terminal.

Server not detected

Use "serverUrl" (or "url") for the address. Antigravity does not support "httpUrl".
